The historic Cerro Vista Addition was developed in the mid-1920’s by a gentleman named Mr. Stone. He developed the lots into one-half acre tracts along what used to be the river bed of the Rio Grande. The original owners of 1544 Cerro Vista Rd SW bought the lot in 1936 for an undisclosed figure. The majority of the homeowners used adobe for their building material.
